Eclipse does not come with support for handling Python. There are a few plugins that add python support to Eclipse. I decided upon PyDev because it seemed to meet my needs best. Use the [...] At the last class, I noticed my classmate’s homework printout had syntax color-coding. I decided then to switch from IDLE to a more advanced IDE. I decided upon Eclipse, which required something like PyDev in order to handle python files. Although Eclipse is quite bulky (125MB download) and takes a while longer to start up [...] Argh. I just lost a long post when I hit Publish without copy and pasting my entry. I must remember to copy and paste before I submit my posts. Maybe I’m cranky because of PMS, but it bugs me when people sprinkle the use of “lol” here and there in messages and forums. Don’t people realize that it stands for Laugh Out Loud?
