Nit-picky Palo Alto

Gifts to councilmen raise ethic’s questions

In this article, they raise ethics questions because Stanford gave free tickets to council members. The value of the tickets, however, were below the legal limit, $350.

Palo Alto is such an ungrateful city. I don’t know officially, but I have a feeling that it would be nothing without Stanford University.

As a Stanford alum, it frustrates me the way Palo Alto treats my Alma Mater. Stanford University is literally its own city and owns thousands of acres of land. However, Palo Alto somehow feels that it should have a say in what Stanford does to its own land! Those residents are just trying to protect their own home values because Stanford’s attempt to build more housing for its staff and students will change the nature of the housing market.
